Group therapy

Group therapy offers a unique opportunity for children and adolescents to connect and share experiences, feelings, challenges, fears, and more. School-aged children are naturally egocentric, and children and adolescents often show immense excitement at the opportunity to share experiences and feelings. Group work can help kids by providing a positive role model for how to interact with peers. It can give some kids the opportunity to be a positive role model, and strengthen their self-image and self-esteem. Children more easily learn from one another through observation and admiration, and connecting kids with each other helps develop the ability to empathize and connect, and reduces feelings of isolation or loneliness.
